The Vertebrate Study Group, part of the Nature Society (Singapore), compile detailed sighting records of four vertebrate groups in Singapore as follows :

- Freshwater Fishes
- Amphibians
- Reptiles
- Mammals   

Based on these data the VSG is able to determine species rarity, distribution and habitat preference, and can monitor biodiversity and make conservation recommendations.

Please forward details of any significant sightings to :

The following data should be included in the email where possible :

- Observers Name
- Date and Time
- Location
- Species Name
- Size / Length
- Behaviour
- Habitat
- Photograph, if available.

Data submitted will be forwarded to members of the VSG committee for inclusion in their Sightings Database.

- Your email address will be used purely for sighting verification and will not be divulged to any third party.
- Submitted photographs will be used purely for species identification purposes, and remain at all times the copyright of
   the photographer.  It is understood that the images may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without the clear
   permission of the photographer.
